For a while now, it is possible to park in Dutch bike garrages only using a piece of plastic with a certain QR code on it. Here’s to hoping that they’ll accept my hacked together cyberpunk-ass nonsense.

Before this, they used a system of pieces of paper; one attached to your bike, one to keep with you to prove that you were the owner of the bike you were attempting to take with you once leaving.

The system they’ve subtituted it with just requires you to prove that you’ve wandered in there with a bike at some point by waving a piece of plasic with QR code in front of them. I wonder what this will do for bike theft on the long run. Doubt it’ll do much good.
